Matt is a domain industry expert who has worked with some of the world's largest companies on domain name management and brand protection programmes throughout his twenty-year career.
He led Global Client Success and Operations at MarkMonitor, a leading provider of corporate domain and brand protection services, for over fifteen years. In that role, he managed relationships with many of the company's largest clients and led educational and client engagement initiatives, consistently achieving high client satisfaction scores. MarkMonitor was recognised as the leading provider of end-to-end corporate domain and brand services during his tenure.
Matt served on the executive team when MarkMonitor was acquired by Thomson Reuters in 2012. After leaving in 2017, he founded Brandsight, a technology-focused corporate domain name registrar, which was subsequently acquired by GoDaddy in 2020.
Within the ICANN community, Matt has served as Chair of the Registrar Stakeholder Group and participated in negotiating the 2013 Registrar Accreditation Agreement. He also served on the Expedited Policy Development Process (ePDP) team tasked with revamping domain name registration data availability following the introduction of GDPR.
His earlier professional career began as a teenage professional photographer, skills he now applies to photographing his wife and two children.
